NYAP ACTION’s Annual National Adoption Month Party

In celebration of National Adoption Month, our ACTION Adoption team in Dayton, Ohio hosted their annual party for families on Sunday, November 18. This was the 20th year of this party, and many adoptive families have welcomed this event as a yearly occurrence. For one teen in particular, this event has brought his birth family and adoptive family together for 16 consecutive years. Many of the families from years past look forward to attending and getting to meet new families.

Food, fun and friendship filled the day, as the Cincinnati Circus donated huge inflatable activities as well as giant checkers, connect four and other fun games. The Circus even brought a cotton candy machine and a giant popcorn popper! Lucky the Clown entertained the children while making amazing balloon sculptures for each child.

Santa Claus and Rudolph even arrived for pictures with each family, and Santa gave each child a NYAP gift bag of goodies.

Many of the NYAP families expressed that this was ACTION’s best celebration yet, and that’s not hard to believe considering all the work that was put in to this special day. Thank you to all those who contributed including the ACTION Adoption team including Angela Brosh, Pat Hill, Mary Tarlano, Cameria Cummings, Anthony Hill and Jessika Polley. They embody the spirit of NYAP as they strive to bring adoptive and biological families together in one celebration, focusing on love and family in light of the holidays.
