Columbus, OH – NYAP SUPPORTS FRANKLIN COUNTY RENEWAL LEVY
Submitted by Reyahd Kazmi
In NYAP’s efforts to further support the safety and well-being of the children, youth and families of Franklin County (Columbus, OH), NYAP has become a lead partner in advocating for the extension of the Franklin County Children Services renewal levy ($45MM) which is on this year’s November ballot. This levy is managed by the Committee4Children (C4C). In addition to Team NYAP assisting the C4C in the future by phone -banking and knocking on doors, NYAP has had the opportunity to support the C4C by sharing information about the renewal levy with our networks, by attending their “Levy Campaign Kick-off”, and by participating in their golf outing fundraiser.
Even though Team NYAP was unable to win the “golf scramble”, Team NYAP (pictured at left) did represent the organization well by having the most provider representatives on a team. Finally, the team made up of Lance Livi, CSR Team Leader; Christine Chapman, Central Region Manager ; and Reyahd Kazmi, Director of Business Advancement & Governmental Affairs, was humbly joined by Rep. Kevin L. Boyce, 25th House District.
