Merrillville, IN: Holiday Party Wrap Up

Emily Smith, Treatment Coordinator in Merrillville, IN, recently contacted the Kuerig Company and they generously donated a Kuerig maker and 48 K cups for the Merrillville office. Good job Emily!

Over 80+ guests (foster parents, foster children and bio children) were in attendance at the Merrillville, IN holiday party on December 9th. The Knights of Columbus donated their hall for the event. Food was donated from Panda Express, Olive Garden and a local grocery store. Gifts for foster and biological children were donated from two angel trees, one hosted at Kaizen Health & Wellness Center and one from the Lakeside Federal Credit Union. There were actually surplus gifts that were donated to the Salvation Army for their angel tree. Foster parents participated in a raffle of gift cards from area merchants. It was a fun evening of food, fellowship, games and a surprise visit from Santa (aka Sue Ann Procopio’s dad) was enjoyed by all.
