New NYAP Chief Financial Officer

Marvena Twigg, CEO, is pleased to announce the promotion and appointment of Wellington Chimbwanda as NYAP’s Chief Financial Officer effective July 1. Wellington has worked for NYAP since 2005 and has held a variety of progressively responsible positions during that time. “Wellington has been a respected and integral part of the NYAP family for a long time. His promotion will strengthen NYAP’s strategic focus and support our goal of being recognized as one of the nation’s most innovative and effective leaders in the provision of services to young people and their families,” says Marvena.

Wellington was born in Zimbabwe but lived and was educated in London, UK where he received degrees in Economics and Finance and a Master of Business Leadership. . Wellington eventually made his way to the U.S. and worked for Franklin County Children Services. Subsequently he earned degrees in Information Technology and a Master of Accounting and Financial Management from DeVry University. Wellington became a Certified Public Accountant in 2008 and Chartered Accountant (Canada) in 2010. Today, Wellington lives in Calgary (Alberta) Canada with his wife and two children. He’s been successfully telecommuting for the past three years and anticipates future visits to NYAP’s headquarters beginning early next year. We eagerly anticipate having his broad and infectious smile back in the office, at least from time to time.
